What moves you? Running/workout playlist

Most people enjoy listening to music while they workout or run. They do it for their own reason which can vary widely. Some like to run to the rhythm of the music, some find motivation in the lyrics, some get inspired by the music and how it flows. I can't imagine anyone who doesn't want to start moving when the Rocky theme Gonna Fly Now comes on.

Please comment below and let us know some of your favorite workout/running songs. We can build quite a great play list here.

I love getting the primal, anger aspect sometimes. Mudvayne does that for me. They make me want to run, climb, tear across the earth and hunt something down. A pretty good attitude for obstacle course running. Try Scream With Me, Happy?, and Do What You Do.

What moves you when you get out and get some?

Here are some that I received from my people on Facebook:

-Rage Against the Machine

-Whatever by Godsmack

-Run to the Hills, Iron Maiden

-Song 2, Blur

-Dark Bodies, Fear Factory

-Bawitdaba, Kid Rock

  1. Early Mudvayne is good for motivation IMO, but the changing time signatures sometimes mess up my rhythm. Since Metallica won't let me stream anything from Rhapsody, here are a few of the best workout songs I have in my current playlist(s):

    Uptempo:
    Paramore - Ignorance
    Green Day - Jaded
Guns N' Roses - Garden of Eden
    Throwdown - Holy Roller
Megadeth - Dread and the Fugitive Mind
Foo Fighters - No Way Back
    Van Halen - Judgement Day

    Distance:
Pop Evil - Last Man Standing
    50 Cent - P.I.M.P.
Papa Roach - Between Angels and Insects
Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way
Billy Talent - Devil on My Shoulder
